We have now moved into a new space with better facilities. We believe that our employees need a great work place to celebrate @ work, and I am sure this is the one. After the inaguration, we attended the "Silicon India - Mobile Conference". The event gave us a good opportunity to network with some of the entrepreneurs and industry experts.
We will be sitting down next week to brainstorm on some of the mobile related thoughts that are running in our minds.

Healthcare IT - Improving Overall Patient Experience
Healthcare IT has been one of our favorite topics simply because of the potential opporunity it provides for EMR-EHR product vendors and service providers. The $41000 stimulus package Obama govt is pushing for is a great impetus for US Healthcare providers to implement the much needed "IT" in their organization.
Dr David Blumenthal, National coordinator for HHS, in his recent interview had talked about improving patient experience. This is something which we have been researching on for quite some time now. How can healthcare providers improve overall patient experience, enable transparency and be proactive, rather than being reactive.
Enhancing overall patient experience is a very important aspect of Healthcare IT and this is beyond any EMR/EHR. There are various ways by which you can improve the patient experience and take it to a much higher level and this starts well before the time the patient walks into a clinic.
Healthcare providers need to create multiple touch points for their patients to fix their appointments, enable them to view their medical records through patient portals and better integration with the ecosystem by automating the entire workflow. Web and mobile are two of the most important mediums for patient touch points.
There are lot of best practices followed by healthcare providers to improve overall patient experience some of which are:

There are lot of best practices followed by healthcare providers to improve overall patient experience some of which are:
- Enable scheduling via web/mobile mediums
- Easy and error free capture of patient info/demographics by integrating with digital pens or touch screens
- Reduce losses due to no show and provide alerts to physicians by integrating with mobile during patient encounter
- Ensure immediate availability of transcripts by integrating with voice recognition engines and transcription workflow engine
- Reduce errors and liabilities by integrating with ePrescription
- Improve patient service levels by integrating with patient portals
- Proactively educating patients on how to improve health and drug usage through SMS based alerts and flashes
By adopting these best practices, healthcare providers can engage with their patients very effectively and improve the overall patient experience.

Noesis: IT Arm of SMBs
Let me start this by listing some of the problems faced by SMBs:
1. Limited budget
2. Inability to handle ad-hoc technology needs
3. Managing IT infrastructure
4. Slow in market expansion (the idea gets copied pretty fast by large players)
5. Lack of management focus if they outsource their IT needs
Here are few things that Noesis can offer an SMB or a start-up which ensures consistent growth for the company.
1. Providing flexible business and engagement model
2. Complete focus from the management
3. Option of managing the IT infrastructure of SMBs in Cloud. Providing reliable and stable IT support to ensure maximum business productivity.
4. Ability to quickly ramp up based on the technology needs.
5. New market expansion through Sales support (India & Europe), Localization services and SaaS/ Cloud based engineering to enter SMB market.
Noesis shared services model for product support and testing can ensure year-on year productivity gains and better ROI for SMBs. These are some of the options, you could discuss with us on other thoughts that you might be having. We could explore such opportunities.

Cloud is not fuzzy any more
It doesn't take much to set up an office these days, especially if you are in technology. Technology has made life easier for small businesses. Not that hardware costs dropped drastically over last 2 years, but now one can run a business without any hardware, may be just with one desktop or laptop for the employees. “Cloud” can ideally be a good substitute for your business. The other advantage that cloud provides is in terms of providing disaster recovery supporting business as-is in case of major crashes.
The concept of private cloud has been catching up but its too hard in the pockets of small business entreprenuer. SMBs can rely on third party cloudsfor most of their business needs. It gives them the advantage of having minimum capex cost. SMBs can look for hosted “cloud” providers for
1. Storage, back-up and other server requirements
2. Enterprise applications like CRM, Payroll etc
3. Secure E-mail and other software requirements
4. Hosting their applications
So SMBs, its between CAPEX Vs OPEX. You need to take a call. Noesis Info Services can provide you consulting service in this area and guide you through the services that could be one of the key differentiator for increasing their profits.

Growing SMB Market
A study by Spiceworks says that SMBs might spend 37 % of their annual budgets refreshing and expanding physical infrastructure & 51 % are planning to buy new software. What does this mean?
This means lots of support engineers and support staffs will be required. Noesis which now has an in-house team for remote IT management is all set to capture this opportunity. We see good opportunities in hosting, cloud services, SaaS related services, helpdesk support, hosted e-mail and online back up.
Rather than building team in-house for managing all these peripheral services, it makes immense sense for SMBs to outsource the work to the experts in this field. Noesis understands the need of SMB market and there is huge focus from the management to build relationship with upcoming firms.

Siliconindia Mobile Application Conference
Most of the ideas or innovations remain hidden until the innovator is given a chance to bring it out. Most of us wait for the right spark to fire the innovation within us!!!
We were surprised when we came to know of some of the innovative thoughts that our friends were having that could lead into a successful business. Some of the ideas were in Mobile Application space.
To talk about mobile applications, the opportunity is huge, especially the Indian market. We have been building expertise in mobile application space and we are working with a SMB in India to build few innovative products in this space.
We are planning to attend siliconindia mobile application conference on October 31(Saturday in Bangalore). We will get an opportunity to explore the new themes that are emerging in mobile space. Hope to meet more like minded teams/ organizations there.

NoesisEMR
Our dream of owning a product has come true. We have partnered with a known associate for enhancing an Electronic Medical Record (EMR). We are working on enriching the features and the back-end technologies required for making the product world class. We are planning to target US market with the product primarily for small clinics (remember SMBs). We understand that the market in huge for EMR/PMR in US with the Govt making it compulsory to improve the healthcare.
The EMR system with Integrated Practice management system for HealthCare industry essentially replaces paper records of health information of an individual with digital record and brings immense benefits to patient, physician and staff in healthcare facilities. NoesisEMR comes with integrated practice management features well suited for clinics. Solution is available in both hosted (Software as a Service) model and on-premise model making it well suited for all budgets and requirements. We plan to go for CCHIT Certification shortly to comply with the US Govt guidelines for such products
You can contact us at info@noesistec.com to know more about NoesisEMR.
